us would like to find out Editorial By Rick Bishop April 3, 2008--Good versus Evil. Truth versus Lies. Real Change versus More of the Same. Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura versus The Existing Power Structure? Normally, I would avoid the hyperbolic, biblical comparisons, but here they seem to fit. David versus Goliath. A Slingshot's Chance in Hell versus The Big Guns.
A little truth. I don't believe that, absent some dramatic event, something of truly revolutionary proportions happening, Ron Paul has a chance of winning the Republican nomination, not even with Governor Ventura riding shotgun. His only chance is to get out, run as a third-party candidate, and then in order to win the presidency, a truth-teller like Paul would need help from someone with integrity, another truth-telling warrior willing to go to the mat for what he believes, someone with a spine--someone like Jesse Ventura.
Governor Ventura is immensely popular. During Tuesday night's interview with Larry King, an internet poll was conducted asking if Governor Ventura should run for president. Eighty-five percent of the respondents said "Yes!" What do you say, Governor? The revolution has already begun, and we need your help. What do you say, America? Think we can convince Congressman Paul to draft Jesse? Isn't it at least worth a try? Or are you willing to settle for more of the same unfulfilled promises and lies? I, for one, think it would be refreshing to be able to believe what a candidate says, whether I completely agree with said candidate's positions or not. I'm sick of these poll-watching, finger-to-the-wind, spineless, party-line wimps being in charge of this great country. How have we allowed this to happen? Call me irresponsible, say that "if you don't vote, don't complain," say whatever you like, but if there's no one worth voting for, I'm not voting. I'll join the Governor and start calling for "None of the Above"--and wait for the Revolution to truly begin.
